About American Consequences
American Consequences is a new, online monthly magazine from Editor in Chief P.J. O'Rourke about what's really happening in American finance... and what's about to happen next.
As P.J. O'Rourke writes:
American Consequences is a forum where good minds tackle current ideas and think through the results those ideas will have.
I'm the editor not because I know a lot about business, finance, and economics, but precisely because I don't.
I make fun of things for a living. But over the years I've found that making fun of things can be an excellent way to understand them. And making fun also causes me to be a neutral referee. I don't take sides. The absurd is the absurd whether you find it on the left, on the right, or in the middle.
New magazine issues are currently released on the third Saturday of each month.
We also publish American Weekly Consequences once each week, updating you on the latest happenings from big trends and ideas we're following.
It's written by the American Consequences editorial team, along with commentary from P.J. O'Rourke. It's currently published each week on Wednesday afternoon. We poke fun and sound the alarm in equal measure on the latest economic, financial, and political news from around the U.S.
